 We have three documentation clerks here in JILONG BRIGANTIEN DALIAN, and I am one of them. The other day we had a dispute over task assignment between us three, which occurs to me a lot.

 We have to admit that everyone likes to gain more with less pain, and it works for us documentation clerk the same way. But we have different customers. According to SWOT by Heinz Weihrich, which is short for STRENGHTHS, WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITIES & THREATS, we have 4 rankings for our customers, KIDS, STARS, GOLDEN BULL &SKINNY DOGS as below:

 Not only customers make jobs different, but even for the same customer, tasks also can be different. And here we categorize it into skilled &unskilled. Unskilled duties refer to time killers as writing endless work orders, and skilled ones as some tasks concerned with something technical or else.

Now we come to the other end--us three documentation clerk. Each likes GOLDEN BULL& skilled assignments, instinct of human beings. But we always have SKINNY DOG and time killers, and we always require someone to complete them. Here we are trapped.

There is a well-known story of PRISONER’S DILEMMA by Albert Tucker from STANFORD. It says two criminal suspects were caught and kept separately for trial, no information exchange with each other during the process. They were warned that if both confessed, then both would have a sentence of 8 years, sentence of 1 year if both deny, release without charge for confessor and a sentence of 10 years for denier if one confess and the other deny. Assume the two suspects as A&B, and then we have details as below. What is their response? And what is our response? It is also the PRISONER’S DILEMMA we are caught. Known that it is hard to have complete balance between us three and get everyone fully satisfied, especially in such a newly established and imperfectly systemized company.

 Encountered PRISONER’S DILEMMA, everyone has his own way to get through, and I choose to maximum my own INTERIOR STRENGHTH, understanding that life is fair to everyone, the only things we can do is to take full advantage of everything life has offer you in peaceful mentality. Therefore I choose to accept any assignment by Manager, as long as it is necessary for business operation. If I am over-loaded this moment, incompetent for the current assignments, I will work hard to get it out, and make sure that I will be qualified for the assignments in a week, a month, or even a year if it is really a hard task. Anyway I am sure I will make it someday if time permits. Because I believe everyone has unlimited capacity as long as it is full developed? It is known that Einstein has only use up 13% of his potential, and you can imagine how enormous capacity it will be for a person, even a normal guy like me. Besides it is enjoyable to challenge myself and I like it.

 That is my response, and for the time being, I felt a sense of relief, but something deeply in my mind tells me that I am stilled trapped by something, something difficult to express clearly. Maybe I can find it out later. But then what? Trapped again? Maybe life itself is a jail and we are born to be a prisoner.
